Basic Policy on Personal Information Protection

In order to fulfill our social responsibility as a company, Faber Company Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Faber Company") hereby declares that all employees and officers of Faber Company will comply with the laws and regulations concerning personal information and will ensure that all employees and officers comply with them, after clearly indicating both internally and externally our personal information protection policy.

1. We shall acquire personal information by legal and fair means.

2. When using personal information, we shall clarify the purpose of use and shall not use personal information beyond the scope necessary to fulfill the specified purpose of use. In addition, we will take appropriate control measures to ensure that personal information is not used for any other purposes.

3. We shall take reasonable security control measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, falsification, leakage, etc., of the personal information we have obtained.

4. We will comply with laws, regulations, guidelines, and other norms related to the protection of personal information, and we will continuously strive to improve our personal information management system.

5. We shall establish a contact point for inquiries concerning personal information, and respond appropriately to any complaints or consultations from the individual concerned.

Privacy Policy

1. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

We shall handle personal information obtained by us within the scope of the purposes of use listed below and shall not use it beyond the necessary scope, except as stipulated by law or with the consent of the individual concerned.

(1) Personal information concerning service users and business partners ・To provide information and support regarding services operated by us, and to respond to inquiries, etc.
・To provide information on seminars, events, exhibitions, etc. hosted, co-hosted, sponsored, or exhibited by us.
・To provide services operated by us (including billing, account/client information management, confirmation of service usage, etc.) and to improve services.
・For surveys, analysis, and research and development of services operated by us.
・To contact, negotiate, discuss, and execute contracts related to business transactions.
・To properly execute business entrusted to us by our business partners.
・To respond to inquiries and opinions.

(2) Personal information concerning all employees and officers of the Company (including retired employees) and applicants for employment. ・For personnel and labor management, welfare, health and safety management, public relations activities, business activities, and other business communications.
・For administrative communication regarding recruitment, provision of recruitment information, and employment selection.

(3) Personal information of persons who contact us ・To accurately ascertain the content of the inquiry and to provide an appropriate response or correspondence.

2. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

(1) We shall not provide personal information to a third party without obtaining the prior consent of the individual, except in the following cases. ・When based on the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and ordinances.
・When it is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to receive the consent of the individual.
・When it is especially necessary to improve public health or to promote the healthy development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned.
・When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by either a national agency or local government to execute affairs prescribed by law, and receiving consent from the individual is likely to impede the execution of such affairs.

(2) Notwithstanding (1) above, the following cases shall not be considered third parties ・When we outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to the extent necessary for our business.
・When personal information is provided as a result of the succession of business due to a merger or other reasons.
・In the case of "3. Joint Use of Personal Information" below.

(3) When we shall provide personal information to a third party located in a foreign country, we shall take necessary measures such as obtaining consent in accordance with laws and regulations.

3. Joint Use of Personal Information

If we shall share personal information with a specific party to the extent necessary to fulfill the purpose of use, we shall notify the person in advance or publicly announce to that effect, the scope of the party with whom the personal information will be shared, the items of personal information to be shared, the purpose of use, and the name of the party responsible for the management of the personal information. In such cases, we will notify the person in advance of or publicly announce the scope of the agreement on the joint use of personal information.

In such a case, we will appropriately manage the personal information, such as by concluding a contract regarding the joint use of personal information.

4. Supervision of Subcontractors

We shall outsource all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope of the purpose of use. In such cases, we will establish contracts with these subcontractors regarding the handling of personal information and otherwise supervise them appropriately.

5. Security Control of Personal Information

In order to prevent unauthorized access, loss, falsification, leakage, and other security control of personal information, we shall establish and implement personal information protection rules. In addition, we will take appropriate safety management measures such as: clarifying responsibilities and authorities by appointing a chief information security officer; implementing information security training for all employees and directors; restricting access to the office floor; limiting access privileges by granting IDs to each employee; and managing and supervising outsourcing vendors.

6. Request for Disclosure of Personal Information
